This Saturday (16/06/2013) we are going to host a competition for the whole server.
What is the competition?
There is going to be a 20x20 chunk of land (Bedrock to land level) in which you have to mine to find a special block.
We are not going to tell you this special block because x-rayers might cheat, but once you find it, you will know you won.
The blocks you mine you may keep, but keep in mind this chunk may be copied from any town and may already be mined.
You may work in teams of 1-4.
What are the timings?
I have tried to make the timings suitable for everyone, so I apologize in advance if the timings are inconvenient.
European Central Time : 19:00 (7 PM)
Eastern Time : 14:00 (2 PM)
Central Time : 13:00 (1 PM)
Pacific Time : 11:00 (11 AM)
If there are any problems with the timings, please speak to me.
What are the prizes?
The prizes will be kept in secret until the day of the competition, or until I am certain with my final choice.
I can assure you the prizes will be worth it and very valuable, and some of it will be mining related.
If you are in a team, the prize will be split among each team member.
Rules?
1. There is a wall in between each chunk. You are not allowed to mine it, or build towards it. All building must remain in your chunk.
2. Do not xray or hack. The staff will know how to check, and know for certain if you have hacked or not. Not only will you be
disqualified or penalized, you will also suffer from a temp ban or any other consequences.
3. Please do not kill anyone as it will be a pain to get all their items back, and bring them to where they were.
4. Once in the world you are doing the competition in, you are not allowed to teleport to anywhere else. If you want to, ask an Admin.
5. Normal server rules apply.
Any extra information?
You will be supplied with food, two diamond pickaxes, a chest, an enderchest and a enchantment table.
You are more than welcome to use the table to enchant your items.
You will get 2 hours to mine.
- Note: For each team member you have, you will be deducted 15 minutes of the normal time.
You may also bring your own mining gear if you want to mine faster, or get better loot. However, if it gets heavily depleted, we will not replace it. It is under your responsibility.
